WHERE THE HELL IS MATT? 2012 website
I think this video shows the potential for joy and connection all over the world. He has done a lot to make people proud of where they live and to help those who never travel to see real people full of energy and enthusiasm. Cooperation, culture, creativity, fun and energy are exemplified in these videos. Well done, Matt!
WHY I MUST SPEAK OUT ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE by James Hansen
One of the best explanations I have seen about Climate Change by a top climate scientist who tells the story of his involvement in the science of and debate over global climate change. He presents the overwhelming evidence that change is happening and why that makes him deeply worried about the future.
TO UNDERSTAND IS TO PERCEIVE PATTERNS by Jason Silva
This video is a rapid fire exposition of the interconnectedness of all things in the universe. It reminds me of fractals which are repeating forms and shapes that are self-similar at different levels of the universe. The recognition of patterns can help us to see the possibilities of using nature as a helper in our own evolution. Perhaps when we are able to truly see our interconnectedness we will be able to work in harmony with nature and each other.
EVOLUTION OR EXTINCTION Bruce Lipton PhD
David Christian Big history Backed by stunning illustrations, David Christian narrates a complete history of the universe, from the Big Bang to the Internet, in a riveting 18 minutes. This is “Big History”: an enlightening, wide-angle look at complexity, life and humanity, set against our slim share of the cosmic timeline. He closes with the hope that studying Big History will help his grandson gain the knowledge needed to meet the severe challenges and potential opportunities that his generation will be facing. This is a miraculous story of the “life force” that has forged it’s most advanced, complex yet most fragile aspect in human beings who are perhaps the key to the next phases of evolution.
JOURNEY OF THE UNIVERSE the film, was produced and directed by Patsy Northcutt and David Kennard. Big science, big history, big story, this one-of-a-kind film was written by Swimme and Yale University historian of religions Mary Evelyn Tucker. They weave a tapestry that draws together scientific discoveries in astronomy, geology, biology, ecology, and biodiversity with humanistic insights concerning the nature of the universe. Created by a renowned team of scientists, scholars, and award-winning filmmakers.
