Hello world!

Welcome to HOPE!  This website has developed out of my own process to discover hope in what sometimes looks like a hopeless situation of crisis all around us. This beautiful scene so serene and peaceful is what we love about our planet. It is also what we take for granted and expect to be there forever.  To take anything we love for granted means that we aren’t paying attention.

I started paying attention and began to go even farther than that. I wanted to know what is really going on. This led to discovering many wonderful and hopeful initiatives that I knew nothing about before I began to investigate more deeply. That is when I decided that I wanted to share what I found with others, so that they too could see the potentials for something positive in the apparent crisis we are facing today.

In my research, I kept coming across the word “evolution” – not just transformation or change. This intrigued me and I began to see things in a new way. Could it be that we are going through a big evolutionary leap right now? I have always thought of evolution as something that happened in the past, but found out that it is constantly going on around us and in us. Evolutionary developments spring up when life is most threatened on some level.  It is then that the life force uses its amazing creativity to come up with many “mutations” to meet the threat and chooses the alternative that is best adapted to surviving the new situation. This is why viruses become immune to new antibiotics. We as humans, organizations and our planet itself are deeply threatened on many levels right now. And this is why many new alternatives are popping up – mostly outside of our ordinary awareness guided by daily newspapers etc.

My intention is that this website will give us HOPE we notice these threats and changes as new potentials.  That it will stir us to mobilize our collective power for action.  That it will inspire us with role models and Good News of initiatives around the world. That it will spur us to evolve what is necessary in ourselves in order to make a positive contribution where we can.

The more I became involved in noticing what is going on that is positive – the more positive things I have discovered. This work has made me fall in love with our Planet and to be very concerned about it’s future and our future.

This stunning video of the Northern Lights is an example of the power and beauty that the Life Force brings to nature. Let it be an inspiration for this journey of HOPE.
